The Del Mar Heights REO has closed for $1,900,000 – well over the list price of $1,749,900.
In the listing under concessions they noted that the buyer received $5,000 towards closing costs.
So we have two winners!
$1,895,000 – swm
$1,900,000 – Joe
Congratulations to you both!
The winners will receive four tickets to the swanky Del Mar Turf Club for one day during the season (July 18th – Sept. 5th).

So close for second win. Dang.
I`d like to thank everybody who made this possible: JTR, The Fed, Wall Steet, the rating agencies, really there a too many people to thank…
Congrats to swm and Joe, enjoy your swanky day!
Perhaps we’ve become too exceedingly bearish to see hope.
JtR, I wish you worked in my area, I’d give you my listing in a heartbeat, you’re a stand up guy to give out 8 tickets instead of weaseling an excuse to only give out four. Kudos.
The house next door sold for $1.4 million. Does that make any sense?
@hocpwpy, nope doesn’t make sense, since this one looked like it lost the yard to a slide but what are ya gonna do?
JtR practically called the selling price in his original post, we were just too bearish to hear him.
I also didn’t care for the fact that the reason it only had one neighbor was because the other side was the access point for the canyon trails system but that’s just me.
Luckily for the bank, JtR, swm, and Joe judged the market and buyers better than we did.
Sorry I didn’t earn you a swanky day at the track. 😆 At least I saved you from being the lowest bearish guest.
How was the financing on this one. It would surprise me a bit if it was all cash but it could be.
Thanks WG for covering my assets
