Diana has a great list of seller tips for the coronavirus era:
- Move out of the house before selling, if possible.
- Step up the staging.
- Virtual tours (I do video walk-arounds).
- Live private individual virtual tours.
- Vet buyers carefully.
- Don’t overprice – buyers aren’t desperate.
The austere aesthetic, which I dislike, will suddenly become more popular. Lots of hard bright surfaces will become the new pergraniteel.

With the addiction to cell phones (to which people have a closer relationship than people), the auto-doors and auto-lights should evolve, and temporary coverings of furniture etc. while your home is on the market.

Make sure buyers are ready, willing, and able to make it to the finish line.
Some agents want to (over)evaluate buyers before they even see the house, which isn’t that friendly and can turn off the otherwise-qualified buyers who don’t appreciate the excessive scrutiny.
